Our boys where the Declaration of Independence was signed. |
Here are some pictures from our trip to historic Philadelphia,
PA. The kids were able to see a lot of great buildings, including the original Senate House and Independence Hall. We also
were able to view the Liberty Bell, which is so much smaller than we had all imagined! After taking part in the impressive
tours and walking the streets that Ben Franklin once walked, we decided it was time to kick back for a little fun...Hard Rock
Cafe style!!! The weather was great so we walked the six or so blocks to the restaurant. Of course Zoe picked that time to
go to sleep, but the kids were so amazed at the sites inside the Cafe. I think they were also amazed that their Dad and I
knew who most of the rockers portrayed are/were!!! Obviously you can't leave without a trip through the gift shop, where we
found sweat shirts for the boys and the cutest t-shirt for Zoe. After that we toured Ben Franklin's printing press building
where the first newspapers were produced, and also the Underground Railroad Museum. All in all it was a wonderful day and
we all went home just a little smarter!!! (Which can't be a bad thing!!!)
